Just south of downtown Seattle you’ll find the epicenter of Washington’s sporting world. Watch the Mariners play baseball at T-Mobile Park or head to nearby Lumen Field, top turf for football’s Seahawks and soccer’s Sounders FC and OL Reign.

For professional hockey and women’s basketball, head to the Seattle City Center and Climate Pledge Arena. The arena, which bills itself as the most sustainable arena in the world, is home to the 4-time WNBA Champion Seattle Storm and the city’s new NHL team, the Kraken.

Don’t throw in the towel if you’re visiting during the off-season: T-Mobile Park and Lumen Field both offer behind-the-scenes tours for a glimpse of everything from the dugout to the press box year-round. Please note some tours may be temporarily paused due to COVID-19.

Can’t make it to a game but still want in on the action? Seattle has its fair share of great sports bars complete with multiple TVs and plenty of beers on tap. Sluggers and Buckley’s Pubs are just a couple of options.

In Kent, 10 miles southeast of Sea-Tac Airport, you’ll find even more hockey. There, the Seattle Thunderbirds face off during Western Hockey League games at ShoWare Center. Or you can join the fan base of the Thunderbirds’ in-state rivals, the Everett Silvertips, who take to the rink at the Angel of the Winds Arena, about 30 miles north of Seattle. Either way, it’s always game on in Puget Sound.
